Abstract

Separations of inorganic cations and organic compounds by capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) can be favourably influenced by addition of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) to the background electrolyte. Local anesthetics, organic bases, were selected as models for testing the influence of PEG on migration and resolution of analytes.
