Abstract

Lithium-ion batteries changed our ordinary world. Compact and powerfull devices as notebooks, cellphones, electric cars and all smart gadgets could not be feasible without research of J. B. Goodenough, S. Whittingham and A. Yoshino, awarded by Nobel price in October 2019. This article is about brief history and progress of batteries including future trends.
