75 Years in the Polarography of Pharmaceuticals and Physiologically Active Substances

Abstract

The article assesses the significance of polarographic and voltammetric methods in pharmaceutical chemistry and analysis in the course of 75 years which elapsed since the introduction of Heyrovsky's method. It involves the description of the most important application areas in this field. The paper is concluded by a consideration concerning the future development of these methods in pharmacy and/or medicine or biochemistry.
