Abstract

Starting from the 1950’s, NMR spectroscopy, a rapidly developing field of chemical structure analysis, and related techniques significantly affected a broad range of science and industry branches. The dawn of NMR spectroscopy, basic principles and modern applications are introduced and some historic aspects of the most important discoveries and events in the field are discussed.
