Abstract

Two of the most frequently used techniques for the determination of selenium in environmental and biological samples are electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry (ETAAS) and hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry (HGAAS). For the speciation of selenium, a combination of separation techniques with atomic spectrometric techniques is used. The above combinations are described in the present article.
